NOAA grant advances UToledo research into Lake Erie bacteria that destroys algal toxins

(University of Toledo) Scientists at The University of Toledo previously discovered naturally occurring Lake Erie bacteria can destroy toxins released during harmful algal blooms. With support from NOAA, UToledo will use that knowledge to develop new technologies to treat drinking water and protect human health.
